If you are resident on the Isle of Wight, or on holiday or visiting friends, you can play tennis at Gurnard Pines Tennis Club all year round.
Situated just three minutes from the famous sailing town of Cowes and ten minutes from the Island's capital Newport, our facilities are amongst the best on the Isle of Wight. We offer players - both members and non-members - three outdoor hard tennis courts and two floodlit tennis courts and after a game, they can take advantage of the changing room facilities in our Leisure Department. (We also of course have many other facilities open to non-members such as Bar/Brasserie, Monkey Mansion, Aerobic Studio, Creche Facility.)
We have an exciting tennis programme and welcome anybody who wants to get on court. Whether you are an absolute beginner or a world-ranked player, we can offer you something that is affordable, accessible, progressive and fun.
In 2001 we started with just a handful of players but are currently coaching up to sixty players a week. Our coaches are qualified and licensed with the Lawn Tennis Association and have been awarded The Lawn Tennis Association Acredited Mini Tennis Centre and Match Play Club status.
We have developed an exiting new tennis programme for 4 to 12 year olds, and are currently expanding our programme for 13 to 17 year olds. It's the perfect way for your children to keep fit, have fun and to make new friends. It has been a great success. If you'd like to come along - we'd love to see you!
